In former times, Leslie worked on staff as Assistant Editor at literary and louche Encounter Magazine in London, as well as Associate Editor at Canadian Airlines Inflight and Editor of Fall Line Skiing. She taught skiing in Switzerland, was Marketing Manager of a glittering Canadian heliskiing operation, a milkmaid and a master scooper at the world's prettiest ice cream shack.
